Dear Alexandra,
Can you tell me if there may be any bad repercussions from what I am about to do? Let me first explain! My ex-boyfriend is in need of some help. He is in trouble, into a lot of drugs, and hurting people around him. He's heading back to prison if he continues to stay in Arizona, and for five years he has not been able to go back to his home state of Kansas. He has cried about it before, however, since then, he did time in prison here in Arizona. Kansas, in the meantime has dropped the charges he had been running from, so that he can return. But, since he has been out of prison here, he has been getting into drugs heavily and I only want what is best for him. That would be to be at home with family and people that care about him, and love him! Here in Arizona he only has me, and he is wearing that thin. So, I am planning on sending a piece of his hair back to Kansas to his mother's with no return address on it. Can you tell me if this will be dangerous, since its all with good intentions?

There is a saying that goes, "the road to hell is paved with good intentions," and it is my opinion that good intentions do not negate the harm of controlling spell work. Besides that, the practical matters of your plan send up a red flag. What do you think his mother would think if she got a piece of his hair in the mail with no return address? She may perceive it as a threat! You could cause grave emotional harm if she were unable to contact him at the time! I think you should discuss your feelings with your ex-boyfriend, about why and how you think it would be best for him to proceed with moving back to his family. Ultimately, the decision should be his. He is an adult, and has been making his own choices, and it looks like they have caught up with him. The best thing for you to do might be to stay out of the way.
