Ask A Witch: Haunted in Racine, WI
Dear Alexandra,
A friend of mine recently moved into a trailer with a military couple because she would be otherwise homeless. When she moved in, the woman failed to mention that there was a "ghost" in the house. My friend started witnessing strange things going on and the woman admitted
that the place was "haunted." The main occurrences seem to be happening in the late hours of the night in the bathroom. My friend even called me at 3:30 in the morning because she was scared! I asked about the background of the home and the belongings in it, but nothing adds up! My husband considers himself to be a witch and I have asked his opinion, but I don't really get a straight answer! I found a House cleansing ritual in one of my white witchcraft books and it states that you do not have to be a witch to perform it. I am afraid to send it to my friend to try, because, if something were to go wrong, then I would feel bad. I want to help her, not harm her. Do you have any suggestions on this matter?

Dear Haunted,
Most cleansing rituals themselves should be harmless, but if you or your friend is filled with fear of the procedure while performing the ritual, such polluting emotions might render it useless. I suggest that you get your husband to perform the cleansing, since I'm assuming that he has a magical practice. However, understand that it is rare for houses to not have any entities in them. Your friend may simply be a sensitive, and continuously trying to avoid what she's sensing may not be the best for her, especially if the "ghost" is harmless, as would seem to be the case!
Light!
Alexandra
