Ask A Witch: Laura in Rowlett, TX
Dear Alexandra...
I have been happily married for nearly 13 years now. When we first married, my husband and I were young and neither of us wanted children but now that I'm older (34) I have decided that I would like to have a child. The problem is that my husband thinks we can't afford a child. I am afraid that he will never think we have enough money. Do you have any advice for me

Dear Laura,
It is important that, since both of you will be caring for this child in a strong marriage, both of you are sure that you are ready for a baby. If you think he will never believe that your family has enough money to support a child, perhaps you are picking up on another reason he might have for not wanting a child at this time. Don't let your sense of urgency run away with you. Your husband and yourself may want to talk with a couples counselor who can help with family planning and maybe get at some issues that may be eating away at your husband.
Light!
