Dear Alexandra...
I am trying to come up with a symbolic design for my next tattoo. I want something on my lower back that kind of flows with the natural curves of my body there. The symbolism I am looking for is about starting over. I would like to start my life over and get rid of my demons from the past. I feel that the tattoo will be a physical symbol of me letting go emotionally. (this has worked for me in the past with smaller situations) I want to let go of past betrayals, hurts, and other things done to me by other people (to forgive them and myself for these events) Do you have any advice for a symbol that might fit this situation? (rebirth, breaking with the past, protection from evil spirits, personal power, peace, etc) Thank you for your time

Dear Stephanie,
You may wish to brainstorm a design special to only you such as a totem animal hatching from an egg. But I might suggest flowers bursting into bloom or a rising sun or waxing moon as common tattoo symbols for a cycle begun anew.
