Ask A Witch: Sympathetic in Holiday, FL
Dear Alexandra,
My girlfriend has an illness called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy it causes her to be in pain all the time, there is no known cure she just suffers. Is there a healing spell? She is doing everything she can to control the illness, she has good days and bad days, mostly bad. I just want to do something to help her and I don't know what to do. That is why I'm asking you.

Well, the first thing you can do is make sure that she has a doctor who is experienced with chronic pain disabilities. It's amazing how many doctors can bring down quality of life by dancing around the issue instead of acknowledging the harsh reality of the situation and buckling down to a long-term pain relief regimen that will work for the individual.
Secondly, perhaps your girlfriend can begin using meditation techniques to control her own sensations. Finally, I'll address your spell request. I don't know how much experience you have with spell-work, and healing magic can be tricky business that I would advise against leaping into without disciplined study and practice on plants and animals before humans. I advocate the use of prayer in any such situation, since a spell is just a prayer with wings.
Since the bad days can be tough for both of you, the two of you may wish to meditate and pray together. A common pain relief chant often attributed to Jacqueline Mcdonald that can be said while the two of you are close to each other would be, "tame thou flesh and blood, as our lady tames the lion."
