Ask A Witch: Wendy in Brussels, Belgium

Dear Alexandra...

I have a problem. I had a best friend, but committed suicide 7 years ago. I can't get him out of my mind. I think every day of him. I want to go to someone who can talk about him, because I want to know why he did this. is it a good choice? It is a person I loved very much as my best friend. I lost someone very special in my life. It was going so far that I wanted to be with him. What can I do to make the feelings go away?

Dear Wendy,

Suicide may not have been good choice for your friend since he caused so much unexplained pain for you , but the ability to take one's own life is the individual's ultimate choice. To make those feelings go away, you must process them, which is a hard path on which you will need guidance. Suicidal thoughts happen when the stresses of your life outweigh your ability to cope. You must seek a regular therapist to discuss your friend and to help you find more coping mechanisms. You've gone a good thing already by talking to me about it, the next step is to find a therapist in your area who can help you.

Light!

Alexandra
