I Dare YOU To Comment On Keen Blogs!

Why on Earth do people not Comment on Keen Blogs? I see you there! Keen has a ridiculously low "Comment" to "View" ratio, and I'm pretty sure it's not just me because I can post the same content elsewhere with more success and other Bloggers on Keen have the same strange phenomenon occurring to them. One theory of mine is that, most Blogs viewers are actually also advisors, and due to the listing of Blogs with "Most Comments" and "Most Viewed," are being stingy with their comments in the hopes that they won't bump their competitors? Another theory is that since Keen Blogs don't have a feature that allows a list of friends, Keen Blog viewers don't feel connected enough to the Bloggers to bother with a comment? If you're reading this, please break out of your shell and boldly cross the line to tell me why you don't comment on Blog posts on Keen!  Yes, YOU!  If I don't receive any comments to this post it is going to really grill my cheese!  And if you DO usually comment on Blog posts on Keen? Well then, thank goodness you found me! Add me to your RSS feed!

# re: I Dare YOU To Comment On Keen Blogs! (Keen Blog Viewers Only)

I think the lack of a 'friends' list is part of the reason no one comments.

Or maybe people aren't posting controversial enough subject matter.

Competition.  The more clicks and comments a Keen blog gets the more it sends them to the top as a star presentation feature.  Outside of Keen, this does not happen.  Even outside of Keenthe more comment’s one gets, the more popular they get.  Right?  It’s the Astrology sites that are winning hands down.  As long as the month they are writing about is going on, the more ok it is to send them back every single day. Also, if I am correct,   Keen will feature a good astrology blog on strology.com, tarot.com….and WHAM……the hits and comments really pile up then.    So here is your comment girl friend.  Love,  Sister O

LOL!!! I have noticed the clicks also on the blogs, I just read and comment, what I feel relates to my way of thinking, so other's can also get a sense of where I am coming from and what I am about. I have met some good advisors such as yourself from blogging comments, and tend to get the respect back, but lately I have noticed the blogging comments dropping with the views, wasn't sure if the system is slow or what like the call volumn dropping, better not go their or I 'll get thrown back to the forums~Anyways that is my two cents worth~ Have a good day~ Melody

Often I come away from these blogs with very good and positive feelings that last and last. I am so content with what I read that I don't feel the need to add anything because a hell of a lot was placed there. I will in the future try harder to let you all know the things I read here are greatly appreciated.

Hmmm....I can't "comment" (har-de-har at me!) for others, but I do not go through the blogs as much as I should...something I'm trying to change so I can give more feedback to people. :)

I would hate to think people do not comment because of competition, but Sister O is probably right--and that's depressing!  To me, more people looking at my posts means more people who "troll" through other's posts or through Keen in general.  I really hope the attitude of "lack" is not as pervasive as to not comment because of the silly competition thing.  I get a lot of emails from clients or just people who read the posts, but not a lot of advisors comment on my posts either. And I KNOW I write awesome stuff!! Hmmm...Ya think they're jealous?!? lmao at myself....what a weird concept!

I have thought about it, and figured it was one of two things: 1.) people don't want to comment and know their name will be attached to a comment for good or for ill or 2.) advisors who DO post a lot of comments just had their lil group of friends that they felt comfortable commenting with.  But maybe it IS competition.  Who knows!
But ya have four--count 'em, FOUR--comments on this post now but 80 reads, lol.  I would like to believe it's just b/c people are shy :)

I felt a tone of competition from being a compulsive writer that has an excuse to write publicly through blogs.   History has shown me “silence screams louder then words.”  When competitiveness happens, people,…gas stations,....economy all stop getting along and helping and complimenting each other.   Right?  And here is another compliment Beloved.

Thanks for commenting everyone, and especially for your honesty!  I'm hoping that, through Blogs and forums, we'll all get to know each other a little more and work to let that sting of competition slip away.  If there's one thing I've learned in nine years of this business it is that there's always another client ahead!  Attracting them to Keen, honing our craft and just lightening up is something we can help each other with!

Well, since you have NOW made it into the top ten of "most commented" (YAY YOU!) I would also like to point out, that if it's b/c of competition....people are KINDA shooting themselves in the foot.
Meaning: when one leaves a comment and is an advisor, a link to their name/blog/page is automatically established.  Guess what that is?....MORE ADVERTISING for the commentator!

Hate to say it though, I am truly under the belief that whomever I am supposed to read for, WHEN I'm supposed to read for them--they automatically come to me because they are SUPPOSED to come to me! :)
So this competition thing, if that's what it is, doesn't really help or hurt me, lol.....

I just want to be more supportive of people by commenting.  I like the vibe I get by supporting other people, because it makes me happy! lol.....yes, I know, I'm silly...hahaha...

# re: I Dare YOU To Comment On Keen Blogs!

Sometimes I read blogs and it pertains to me in some way. I'll start to write a comment and I'll be writing and writing, and then I'll realize that I'm venting or dumping... and sometimes I just don't want to hang myself out there that much in a blog published by someone I don't know. As well, sometimes I just don't want to burden the blog with a bunch of my personal negative crap! But I do enjoy browsing the Keen blogs to gain new perspectives.

Wow, Alphafemale, maybe this will draw Keen's attention to this odd phenomenon/problem!

Great Blog and really glad you put it out here. It is nice to see different people with great ideas and great insights. Once upon a time there was this little place called keen and it was nice and it was family oriented with many looking out for each other and huge amounts of caringness for all. Than it became colder and not so wonderful and friendly. Than it took another turn for the better and than a quick sharp turn for the worse. I think that is how the energy goes here, sometimes it is really easily accessible to people where they comment and really sparkle. Than other times it has a bad taste like you bit into a lemon, **sour**
I am in agreement with Alphafemale, I believe who ever is needed to go to what person they will find their way no matter what one writes.
I was just having fun with this comment for a change I hope not to offend anyone *wink*

Donna

# re: I Dare YOU To Comment On Keen Blogs!

Sometimes people are so great at expressing ideas and concepts that I don't have anything to add. On a whole we have a huge amount of creative talent here on the Keen blogs and I have learned so much from it. I do not find myself competing for anything, personally but lol Othelia knows that from what she does know about me. I am just not like that. I love the wealth of knowlege exchanged and am learning if it is something that is too negative to simply go to another blog. Some of the mecury retrograde stuff comes across as "we just have to go through it" when I feel we can still manifest and be happy we do not have to succumb to anything.  Though some are great about adding ways to get through it and power through. SEe what I mean...I am being selective these days and it is quite great to continually add to my little head more ideas. lol.

# re: I Dare YOU To Comment On Keen Blogs!

of course there is competition with blogs. also some people just do not like to comment on blogs. i have seen people use multiple keen names to bash on blogs, etc. i use to comment a lot on different blogs but i notice some advisors would not even post my comments or others want to debate.

Lady Hope,

LoL SORRY WINKY DINKY**I have one to when I use to it is called to much mascara and they glue to eachother and sometimes takes me manually to pull them apart,,,,Ok To much information now... I am glad you used your great humor, because what else could ease those endless days and nights,  but, some great sense of humor, especially these days. Good Grief Charlie Brown..
To comment or not to comment the Bold and beautiful question? I just think many people just eat up as much information as they can get and feel they do not have to sow gratitude by always making a comment, and in my world that is perfectly okay, Because Blogs are not always controversal or a place to get your "heat off" they are used other ways as a way to just connect energetically. I know who stops in not so much by their comments but, by their energy. A person can see what they want to see in any area's of their life, ugly or beauty. I choose beauty as for this Blog Thank you for allow me to speak.
