My Eight Year Anniversary On Keen
Wow, hey I let my eight year anniversary on Keen.com slip by without even a nod! It was Keen that first enabled me to do readings by telephone. Previously I had only been working in-person, on the radio, or through email, chat and instant messenger. I was living in Seattle, and I had always been nervous about starting phone readings due to the public debacle involving a woman who began her career in Seattle, "Miss Cleo" that came to a head at that time. I remember when I started working on Keen I was living in my college dorm at the University of Washington, working on my Bachelor of Science. Since, at that time, I lived alone, I was able to stay up late into the night doing Keen phone calls, excited by the concept of it! I remember doing readings at fundraisers on campus for the NorthWest Pagans, a group that I founded, and other readers were in awe that there was a place you could go to have your own "psychic hot-line." That year I later moved into a 32 foot yacht and, though I had vowed never to get a cell phone, I purchased one so that I could continue working phone readings since boats don't exactly have land lines! Once Keen gave me the courage, I couldn't help but love phone readings as a vital addition to my business. Today, my business has grown so much outside of Keen, but Keen will always be the birth-place of my telephone readings. I'm so glad that I'm in this work for the long haul!
