My Halloween

I began the evening selling tea leaf, crystal ball and tarot readings at A Gathering Grove in Everett. In that delightfully relaxed, family atmosphere, I was sharing space with one other professional reader, so I ended up at a small but serviceable table. Halloween is the anniversary of my handfasting, and I did a reading for another couple that shared the same anniversary! At the end of my time at A Gathering Grove, I ended up winning a ribbon for the most sexy costume, which is good because of where I was going next! I bid my friends goodbye and traveled on to my next gig. No rest for the wicked!

At Lake Street Nightclub, the club owner was paying me a hefty hourly fee, so all the attendees could actually get free crystal ball and tarot readings from me! It was wonderful to be able to read for for people who would never have tried it out if it weren't free and it weren't Halloween! People laughed and shrieked and showed each other their goose-bumps and, best of all, filled my email list page and my tip jar to the brim!

After the witching hour, I was able to relax and head off to a fun party and wish my husband a happy anniversary! On Saturday, it was back to work as I went to a private party where I displayed PartyLite products and sold tarot readings individually. Though the party was hosted by intellectual atheists, they and their friends proved to be good sports by the end of the evening when a few drinks had been imbibed!

On Sunday, luckily all that I had to do was relax, decompress, and worship in celebration of Samhain, having thanksgivings for all of my recent blessings and for having survived! All in all, my Halloween weekend has been very spookily profitable!
