Psychics & Mediums

Are psychics and mediums real guides to answers from mysterious sources, or are they mere psychic scams or party tricks?  The answer may be both, and neither, as psychics and mediums differ from one another greatly!  Some pet psychics may happily entertain shoppers at a pet store with fun readings on their dogs for a lark, while other spiritual mediums may only take serious private appointment to contact deceased loved ones to resolve family issues.  The services you can receive are as different as the individuals that provide them!

So, how can you make sure that you're not falling victim to psychic scams?  Start out by asking the psychic what sort of psychic reading he or she performs.  Use critical thinking to find psychics and mediums that fit in with your own belief system.  Ask pet psychics if they are picking up on the animal's behavioral cues or energies, or if they really think they are translating the pet's language or reading his or her mind!  Beware of a common scam in which the psychic might claim that a curse is on you or your family.  Ask spiritual mediums if they have ever discovered family curses. If so, it may be time to run the other way, or at the very least make sure that he or she doesn't charge extra money to remove such so-called curses that are found!

Next, ask your psychic whether he or she has ever had any psychic tests that might prove his or her ability. There are many ways in which that information can be provided, so a real psychic will not be offended by your question. Past experience can act as psychic tests, so  he or she might share references from previous satisfied clients.  There are many certification boards that provide documentation of psychic tests performed in order for a professional to earn his or her certification as well.

Understand that it is natural for some psychics to be experts in more than one field, so don't be suspicious if your psychic is both a pet psychic and a spiritual medium!  Also, understand that is not common practice for professionals to give free sample readings for you to test him or her, so don't be alarmed if requests for free readings are refused!  In fact, many psychic scams begin with "free readings" to hook the victim.

Only after you're satisfied that you've verified the validity of your psychic adviser should you proceed with your psychic readings.  Be sure to thank the psychics and mediums that help you the most!  Your feedback is always appreciated!  Be sure, also, to offer yourself as a reference, and to tell your family and friends about reputable psychics and mediums. As you can see, so much of the prevention of psychic scams is done by word of mouth, so you can be part of the fight to help promote real psychics and mediums and leave psychic scams to disappear into the pages of history where they can never harm another curious seeker again!
