There are many certification boards that provide documentation of psychic tests performed in order for a professional to earn his or her certification as well.

Also, understand that is not common practice for professionals to give free sample readings for you to test him or her, so don't be alarmed if requests for free readings are refused! In fact, many psychic scams begin with "free readings" to hook the victim.
