Rating Rumble

On the sites that offer ratings, if I get less than a five-star rating from someone, I no longer offer them my service. This isn't because of any hard feelings towards an individual, or any bad feelings at all on my part since I appreciate feedback of all kinds, it's just one of the benefits of a rating system that we can easily seperate the clients who find us a five-star fit for them from the clients who we are not serving well! This system has worked for me and allows me to focus on a smaller but loyal clientelle, however, my system of removing all clients who rate lower than five stars from my mailing list backfired on me yesterday when a client combed the Internet to send me some e-mails asking me not to end our relationship over the rating!  Needless to say, I was flattered and not only did I get to keep a great client, but I think I earned a sweet friend!

# re: Rating Rumble

Hey there, I have many clients who 2* & 3* ....sometimes it personally makes me say "WOW, that was a great reading what gives" .... sometimes those people arent trying to mean or harsh, but since you want customers to keep an open mind with what you say, then you should keep an open mind with what they rate ....as long as the feedback isnt mean or demeaning, then by all means block them. I just think you might be selling yourself short, like you mentioned...it backfired. Your not perfect, nor is anyone .... so be accepting from now on as long as it isnt inaccurate and ripping you to shreads.   =)    I think your doing great !!!

I think it is the clients responsibility to rate according to the connection and the connection between the 2 parties. It is VERY important to verify a connection first before taking up all of the clients time. I rate according to the SERVICE I was provided. I feel it is my responsibility...I appreciate knowing who is really gifted and provides a great service, and who is not. Most claim to NOT be 100% correct, so don't expect a full star rating...sometimes the provider is just not helping, like repeating and dodging the question at hand because they dont see the answer clearly, at that point the call should end without wasting anyones time and money.

It feels very impure, dishonest and bad integrity to block for the less then 5 stars, however, it also protects the reader from harm. Like you learnt you may lose a potential good connection, there are so many dishonest readers out there - economically and rating wise it is important to do your best to be on top, but for whom? I like the 3 strikes you are out. I had a reader who blocked because I hit the 2 key instead of the 5 on two separate occaisions. We did get it corrected, but I will not call her again. It really hurt when she decided that she could punish me like a child and say no because I insulted her. the more I thought about it the more I was irked, I pay a premium price, for a psychic - well how psychic is a person if they don't feel, see etc that it was an honest error? Yes it got corrected, but again, then how clean is the intent to do readings and help people. Or is this merely a carnival style means fo fleecing people? Just my perception. I hear what you are saying, please don't be offended, it has merrit, and I know there are probably callers out there who are specifically on a diferent agenda, but really? Just my thoughts,

What do you think?
