Seattle Neighbourhood Temple Priestesses

Before I go copying and pasting the extended invitation below, I'd like to point out that they welcome beginning "dancers" who may have two left feet but they're both scurrying down the path to using dance as a sacred path of power or a way to raise energy. I know because I'm one of those rather than the potentially skilled dancers to which this invitation's voice seems to be directed.

_____________

Do you believe belly dance has empowered your life in any of these ways?

• Helped you love and be in harmony with your body and self image.
• Helped you stay in better health and fitness.
• Connects you with the divine feminine.
• Helped you dance, be and think more independently.
• Causes character development.
• Helped you be in tune with your sisterhood.
• Be more present in your marriage because you are more whole as a woman.
• Become an essential tool for the continued personal growth in your life.
• Nourished your imagination or creative side.
• A means for celebrating life!

If you would like to share these values and joy with others, then perhaps you
will want to join the http://groups.yahoo.com/group/neighborhood-temple-priestess/
The yahoo group is a way of connecting with other like minded dancers across the
globe. The NTP yahoo members share their dance work experience. By example of
their progress they hope to inspire other dancers to get involved (maybe start
an NTP group in their neighborhood). As dancers get involved and do similar work
they are invited to share their experience. In this way we all can grow.

The NTP was formed about 1 year ago in Seattle, WA by Delilah and long time
students and studio members. They are an offshoot of an earlier group simply
called Delilah's Visionary Dancers. They are a strong and self willed group of
women dedicated to furthering a new facet in the world of belly dance; that of
becoming a valuable asset to the community rather than only performance for the
stage. Their aim is to shine a spotlight on the need for dance in our every day
lives.

The NTP are wise women who dance, heal, mark time in our lives and honor the
sacred. NTP perform wedding showers, baby showers, wakes, house blessings,
ground braking, political rallies, rites of passage, dances in nature, seasonal
celebrations, arts and crafts, healing sessions . . . .
Join the group and learn more.
