Why YOU should nominate @EarthShod for the Biz Excellence Awards

The Renton Chamber of Commerce 2010 Business Excellence Awards are for businesses, such as mine, that make our community a great place to live, work, play and learn.  As I review my EarthShod business efforts of the past year, here are some of the award category ideals towards which I have worked.

Customer Service Award:  For a business that "WOWS" its customers with over-the-top service, friendliness and unique and innovative services or marketing strategies.
  • Over the last year, EarthShod has posted hundreds more positive reviews from clients and also established a personal exit survey for clients to push for constructive criticism as well as a widely circulated Psychic Standards Research Survey to push for improvement in the industry as a whole.
  • In an effort to improve accessibility beyond in-person, telephone, chat and email service as well as more of a camaraderie with clients, throughout 2009 EarthShod worked on establishing a wide social networking presence that is now supported by nearly 2000 on-line "friends."
  • In October of 2009 EarthShod established the first, and now longest running, innovative Twitter pay fortune teller service to better offer quick service to clients with simpler questions.

Community Leadership Award:  For a business that demonstrates a deep commitment to community involvement through its work and financial resources.
  • In the summer of 2009, EarthShod worked at a teen library Mystic Arts event to show local kids and families the history and practice of tarot, palm, crystal ball and tea leaf readings during a friendly outreach.
  • In winter of 2009, EarthShod worked at the World Association for Children and Parents Hope Auction, performing tea leaf readings as a Chinese cultural practice to raise money for kids.
  • EarthShod is a sponsor of the 2010 Renton Chamber of Commerce Business and Education Exchange.

Business Excellence (business with 10 or less employees):  A business that has achieved excellence in customer focus and innovation, training, respect and community involvement.
  • In autumn of 2009 EarthShod trained in Clinical Pastoral Education at the University of Washington to better offer spiritual counseling to clients going through tough life transitions.
  • In early 2009 EarthShod trained in Aura Drawing at Renton area Springbrook Academy of Fine Art in order to offer innovative artistic depiction of psychic visions as part of client services.
  • At the beginning of 2009 EarthShod began volunteering as a chaplain at local hospitals to serve the community.
