Ask a Silly Question ....
Ask a Silly Question.....
To get the best from your reading, you need to know how to ask a good question. The mind thinks in questions. When we ask a question, it sends a message to the brain that we are looking for an answer. The quality of the answers you receive is directly affected by the quality of the questions you ask.
Questions act like levers. They pry information out of the Universe. Some of the best questions begin with the word How? An open ended question will produce an open ended answer. Ask a question that requires a simple yes or no answer and the information you receive will be much more limited. Queries that begin with the word When? are also closed questions. If you reframe the question, and ask instead how you can contribute towards achieving your desired outcome, you will get much better answers.
You need to be specific. Tell me about my job, is too vague. You will be told things you already know, and although you may also learn new information, it is a very inefficient way to get it, given that time is money! The more thought you put into framing your question, the better the answers will be. A classic example is the person who asks, Will my partner and I get back together again? when a better question might be, Should my partner and I get back together?
Negative questions will produce negative answers. If you ask, What am I doing wrong? then you will be told all the things you are doing wrong! But if you ask, How can I change this situation for the better? then you will get positive information instead.

This is a good example of how seriously the Chinese take the art of asking a question. Learn to ask good questions and you will have a very powerful tool to assist you in everything you undertake
