Ask a Silly Question...
...and you'll get a silly answer! Framing your question effectively is extremely important when asking for a reading. As they say in the computer world, Garbage In, Garbage Out!
A good example is the person who asks, "Will I get back with my ex?" A better question would be, "SHOULD I get back with my ex?" Often something is possible, but it is not necessarily desirable.
Open ended questions bring forth the most useful answers. A question that asks for a simple "Yes" or "No" is not making the best use of the oracle. "How?" and "Why?" are good tools for extracting information, but "When?" is not always a good question either. Oracles are hard to get precise time frames from, because the "When?" is often dependent on the questioner carrying out certain actions or reaching required mental or emotional states first. For example, someone might ask, "When will I be getting a new job?" The "when" is going to depend on what actions the questioner is going to take to look for one, and whether they are prepared to accept the opportunities they are offered.
Before consulting the I Ching, the centuries old Chinese oracle, the petitioner would meditate for up to three days before asking their questions. To get the best from a reading, it is still good practice to frame your questions carefully, preferably by writing them down beforehand.
Questions are tools to pry information out of the Universe. A tool only works if it is used correctly!
