When I was born, my fairy godmother gave me a beautiful garment to wear. It was called self-esteem. When I was younger I wore it a lot, but I did not always wear it wisely or appropriately. It came to feel uncomfortable, so I hung it at the back of the wardrobe.

When I got it out again, it fitted badly. I was not sure that it was really “me.” But I persisted with it and soon it came to feel like an extension of myself. I realized that it had been tailored just for me, and no one else could wear it in the same way, or look and feel good in it.

Today, take out your cloak of self-esteem. Stand tall and proud in front of the mirror and admire yourself wearing it. You look good in it. It is your birthright.
