Here’s a good reason to eat Indian, Thai and Mexican food - eating chili has health benefits!
The active ingredient that causes the burning sensation is called capsaicin. It has been shown to fight prostate cancer, to help with insulin control (which is what causes diabetes) and to help prevent cardiovascular disease.
Some of the other spices in Indian foods have also been shown to have health benefits, so it gets a particularly big tick. Forget Maccas, eat ethnic and do your health a favor!
