Mercury went retrograde on October 11 and won’t go direct again until November 1st. OK – so what can we do about it? Well, we can’t prevent Mercury from going retrograde with its usual disasterous effects on communications, but here are a few tips to help minimize the effects a bit.

1.      Whenever you strike a problem, ask yourself, could Mercury retrograde be to blame? The expected phone call hasn’t been received? That important letter hasn’t arrived? Follow up on it, as it may be just a communications screw up.

2.      If someone upsets you, take a deep breath and say to them, “This is what I thought I heard you say, is that what you meant?” before jumping to the conclusion that they are picking a fight. It may be just a misunderstanding.

3.      Be diligent about the little things like making sure bills are paid on time and phone batteries are charged. If something can go wrong, during Mercury Retrograde it will!

4.      Try to hang on to your sense of humour – laughing is better than screaming.

5.      Don’t use Mercury Retrograde as your excuse for being slack when it’s really your fault. The Laws of Karma continue to operate now as always, *smiles.*
