"The man who makes no mistakes lacks boldness and the spirit of adventure. He never tries anything new. He is the brake on the spirit of progress." M. W. Larmour.

When a baby is learning to walk, at first it falls down more often than it succeeds. We do not label those falls "mistakes." When Henry Ford designed his first automobile, he left out reverse gear. If he had stopped there, we would not have the cars we now have. The aim is progress, not perfection.

Here's a challenge - eliminate the word "mistake" from your vocabulary and substitute the word "lesson" or "learning." Make progress instead of crippling yourself by setting yourself the impossible task of being perfect.

Here's another way of putting it: "Do not worship at the altar of the Bitch Goddess Perfection, for she will rip your throat out'!
