We often get some amazing lessons from unexpected sources. The appearance of the new Indiana Jones movie reminds me of a great lesson to be learned from one of the earlier movies in the series. In “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” Professor Jones has to negotiate a well protected obstacle course in order to reach the Holy Grail. At one point he has to step out into a chasm, trusting that he won’t just fall and be dashed to the earth. He bravely steps forth, and a path opens out under his feet.

 

It’s the perfect visual for the Leap of Faith that is sometimes necessary in life, the same Leap of Faith portrayed in the Tarot in the card, The Fool. Sometimes we have to step out into the void trusting that all will be well, and that we will be supported in whatever endeavor we are attempting.
