That's A Very Good Question....
It’s good to ask questions. If we don’t ask questions, we don’t get answers. But some questions are better than others.
There are three questions that callers ask that generally don’t produce good quality answers.
- When? Most advisors find it difficult to be accurate with time frames because Spirit doesn’t frame answers in that form. More importantly, your own actions may well influence the time frame.
- What? Callers often want to know what someone “feels” but feelings are fluid and changeable. They are influenced by all sorts of factors. How someone is feeling right now won’t be the same way they feel tomorrow. Even loving couples have times when they feel angry or resentful towards each other.
- Why? The reason people do things is often difficult to fathom, even to them. We seek logic where it doesn’t exist. We are not the rational beings we would like to think we are. We are motivated by emotions and subconscious factors that quite simply don’t always make a lot of logical sense.
Which questions do produce a better quality answer? The most powerful question of all is HOW? How can I get the best outcome here? How can I act for the highest overall good?
Questions are powerful tools but you need to select the right one for the job. The better your question, the higher the quality of the information that results.
