The Year of the Rat Unfolds.....
In February this year I posted Master Danny’s predictions for the Year of the Rat, which read in part:
“The signature of the year is Big Earth sitting on the Rat, which is the strongest form of water, so it's likely to be a year of more melting of the arctic ice-caps. (There may be some developments in helping to overcome the effects of global warming but this year will probably bring more bad news in the immediate future.)
There will be land slides and shipping disasters, floods etc. (It was a day and hour such as Big Earth on the Rat when the Titanic sank.) I suspect the Olympic Games may not go well for China.”
The news from Asia this month has been tragic, with the terrible cyclone in Burma followed closely by the huge earthquake in China. We are only part way through the Year and already there have been floods in Queensland and tornadoes in the USA, to mention just a few of the natural disasters that seem to abound in this turbulent cycle.
As a race, we need more than ever to help each other in the face of tragedy. Every one of those over whelming statistics has a human face. If we put the same amount of money into disaster relief that we are currently committing to killing each other, the planet would be a much more humane place.
UPDATE: In discussion with Master Danny yesterday he added this comment:
"The BIG masters are predicting that the next 15 yrs will not be good for China. I
personally think it will all unravel about the time of the Olympics. I think many Chinese
people have too much riding on their success.
Conversely, I think that Burma may come through its current tragedy and benefit in
the longer term."
I would have to agree, especially with the remark about Burma.
