Honoring the Seeker - a letter of thanks

I'm finding I'm not really into the blog thing, so there will not be regular blog entries from me, but I do want to have this entry here for my regular clients to come by and see - and also warmly welcome any new clients. It's my thank-you to my callers:

It takes guts to bring one's problem, often one's deepest anxiety, to a perfect stranger for the first time. When all other forms of help and support, advice and opinion have been sought, to seek mystical, metaphysical insight perhaps takes the greatest leap of trust of all.

Not just a leap of trust as to whether or not this or that psychic reader is an honest, ethical one who will tell the truth no matter what it is, but the trust enacted in the very fact that something most painful to you is brought to spiritual analysis. When I stop to really think about that, it gives me pause.

It takes a compassionate reader to handle a seeker with care, no matter the message. But it also takes a brave and vulnerable seeker to open themselves with a genuine heart to the further angles the reader may see within their situation -- further angles that may reveal many more layers, like the gentle peeling back of the petals of a bud, if successful.

This entry is somewhat my tribute to my customers -- to all of our customers.

If it were not for some of the wonderful callers I have had, earnestly wishing to explore their issue with me and find guidance and a shaft of light somewhere, I wouldn't even still be on Keen. Every day I thank the universe for sending to me some of the incredible people I have come to know and hopefully to help. I will of course name no names, but I thank you, each of you.

I've been honored to speak with and explore with people who have been sincerely a pleasure to talk with, even in pain, even in your hour of need, doubt or darkness. Your spirits have shone through and I have felt great concern for, interest in, and affection for you. Some of you have touched me so much that I have thought about you long after the call, prayed for you, was glad always to hear from you again and see if progress has been made and how.

There is much beauty in this funny old thing called Life, but there is also much pain in our human experiences, many griefs to bear as we negotiate our path through this emotional jungle of life, hoping to make of it a garden wherever we can.

So, this post is for you, the people who have taken time to choose me for a moment, several moments, or for unfolding pages of an ongoing chapter in your life. You have come to me in a spirit of sincerity and genuine trust, and for that I thank you and wish with all my being to have brought you some help or healing in any way, be it to see a way though into better times, a better viewpoint, a stronger foothold, or even just a caring voice on the end of the line telling you that you are not alone. Whenever you have seemed to gain something by the end of our call is when I truly feel it has not been in vain.

More than a "customer," our callers become someone whose pain touches us, whose goals echo ours, whose difficulty we relate to and whose progress we can take heart in. I'm "meeting" some remarkable people in my journey on Keen - you know who you are! Your strength in calling out for help -- and it is a strength -- alone indicates that you can get through the situation at hand, and whenever you have chosen me as a helping hand, it's a privilege.

Peace to all of you as we all go on this journey together.

Dear Gwen:

Very inspiring for where would we be without our clients and those who seek us out. It really does take a leap of faith to put their trust in someone they do not know.  Very well said and thank you for saying it!
