-- the metaphysical 'nuts and bolts' of a reading. ~
Many theories abound, here is my feeling about some of what may be taking place when a connection on a metaphysical level is being made.
Any divination method, such as the Tarot cards, acts as a tool with which the psychic reader accesses their own intuition, clairvoyance, precognition and the vibrational energies in which this information exists.
You may already be familiar with the concept of a unified field of energy in which we all exist. Everything, living and inanimate, is, at atomic level, nothing but a field of energy existing within larger fields of energy and so on outward. At this level and in this way, we are all part of one connected field.
In our everyday lives, living in awareness only of the mundane physical level, we tend to forget and ignore the finer vibrations at the smallest atomic level, and how these are alive with information constantly flowing beyond our five senses.
But it is on these forgotten levels that phenomena operates such as telepathy, intuition, clairvoyance or being able to know something that is happening or being experienced at a distance, and future possibilities arising from the nature of the information.
What a psychic reader like myself is doing when we read for you, is that we are opening our intuitive mind to this hidden energy field of information. The success of the connection depends on how open and honest the seeker is, and how open, calm and ready the reader is. Depending on how clear the channel is for the reader's mind to free itself, what I receive are impressions of mood, actions, impressions of emotional tone, psychological tone, and "mind's eye" flashes of possible outcomes. When focusing on a question you have asked, I'll often get a symbolic picture of some thought or action in my mind's eye.
How Tarot cards help me is that each of the 78 cards in the Tarot deck have specific traditional meanings or a range of meanings, and when I choose and turn over a card while focused on your question, laws of synchronicity make a subconcious influence on which card I'm choosing. When this is operating freely, the card will be something that gives accurate insight into your issue, and that card's interpretation helps me know what I need to tell you about the impressions and conclusions I'm forming from a combination of my intuition and the cards that are coming up during the process.
Some cards have become notorious, such as the card "Death" or The Tower. Don't be afraid of getting these cards in a reading! Did you know that, rather than meaning literal death or destruction, each of these cards actually carry very positive messages of new beginnings and the release of old and destructive patterns?! Now, doesn't that feel better to know?
Psychic readings, even when accurate, are not "set in stone." Possibilties change as your actions, the actions and decisions of those around you, and even your own thoughts, change. We should not tell you what course of action to take, and you the seeker must weigh the insight a reading gives you with other knowledge or perceptions you yourself already have concerning your situation. Balance the mundane facts with the psychic perceptions, for the best pathway toward knowing what you must do next.
The best spirit in which to consult a reader is something like this: that Tarot cards and all psychic readings can be a wonderful "extra angle" on what is possibly going on in your life and those around you at a very deeply spiritual level, which is after all where our daily experiences all ultimately spring from at their very beginnings.
