Wise words: From a pioneering champion
"No matter what accomplishments you make, somebody helped you."
- Althea Gibson
Two-time Wimbledon tennis champion and the first black woman to make a mark on the pro-tennis international circuit during the 1950's. A quote that reminds us that even as individuals, we are all in this old game of life together.
We all need support in our goals and accomplishments, no matter our individual talents and strengths, we are all in this world together to help and not hinder each other, to strive upward together, not pull each other downward. The fall of one is the fall of us all, just as the achievement of one is the celebration of us all.
Think today of how you yourself are the rock behind a loved one's strivings, while you in turn are being helped by another or even that same person too.
Expand that too, to how, in our daily lives, we can assist each other in ways big or small.....what goes around comes around, and that can be turned to the most positive side that lifts up us all in the end.
