Yay! A diving board! ...or, how to get the most from your call to me

Say there was a beautiful body of water surrounded by some short, rocky cliffs you can climb, and a small stretch of beach at the water's edge. There are amazing stones and crystals and other treasure at the very bottom, scattered all over the bed of this lake, but only visible in glimpses. There is one notable treasure you'd really like to investigate, that you know is in a particular spot, and you wonder how best to get to that place and make a dive for it.

Well, you could start wading into the lake from the little beach, encountering other scattered bits and pieces under your feet, stooping to pick them up and take a look, making slow progress as you wade further into the center of the water, distracted along the way by other stones, treasures, rocks, or even some water weeds getting in your way. Finally being able to break into a swim, and take a little dive down to look around for that one item you know is about where you think it is, you get to it.

Or, you could look around and notice that someone has installed a very nice diving board up on one of the ledges of the rocks nearby. You are able to climb just a few boulders, stand on the diving board, and look down from this higher height, right over the shimmering lake below. Through the rippling water you can actually see much more clearly, from this vantage point, the different objects at the bottom of the water. You can now also get into the correct posture for the perfect dive, aiming directly for the exact spot where "your" treasure sits. You can head straight through the water for it and scoop it up, wasting no time.

Very often, getting a Tarot reading can be like these scenarios. The first is like a "general reading" -- the reader just begins to wade around seeing all kinds of things and having to rummage through them and through the water too before reaching anything that really holds interest for you.

Or the reader can get you to say exactly what you had in mind to examine, and whoosh, dive right at it! You just gave your reader the diving board, for the most direct aim at the one issue you are really wishing to get at.

Now, all readers are different, and so I will say that this just goes for me, this is the way I work best when reading for you.

The fastest route to direct answers that cut your call-time and save you money, is to ask a specific question about an equally specific issue in your life. This way, I can cut straight to the chase, straight to the exact information you are seeking, dive right to the stuff you want instead of wade through the rest and waste time getting there.

I will also ask for a very brief context to your situation, to further help me accurately interpret what I'm getting. Don't be offended by that - I ask only questions like: "Are you with currently seeing him or not?" Or if your question concerns career I may ask "Are you employed at this time?" so that I have a kicking-off point. If you can tell me the very basic "setting" behind your questions, it just takes a few seconds and it gives me a starting point, a context.

To get a context from you is my diving board -- I'll get a deeper dive into the waters of the answers than I would get by paddling into the shallows.

When I want some basic initial background on the situation you are enquiring about, I'm not "fishing for cues," I'm getting my diving board buoyant!

Once we're "into the water" I will only ask "Does this make sense?" periodically, to confirm that the information I'm gleaning is on the right track. Again, not fishing, confirming.

The cards have many interpretations, and my own body of experience in reading for most of my life has added my own many interpretations within these. In addition, my own intuitive impressions get focused the most clearly when a seeker tells me exactly what she or he wants me to look for.

For example, instead of saying that you would like "just a general reading about my life generally," please bring to me an issue: "Do you see a better work opportunity for me than the one I'm in now?" "Can you tell me more about why my friendship/relationship/work relationship with ___ is not going well?" "How does the man I just met really feel about me?" "I think we are happy but is there a future in my current relationship?"

In this way, I know what my cards and my higher insights are trying to tell me for that specific area of your life and no other, until you ask about another area.

Lets look at a card that can be trying to tell me many kinds of things, depending on your area of interest. The Ace of Pentacles, for example, is a card that can encompass everything from the idea of financial success, to the bringing of a wished for relationship into reality. Pentacles are all about reality instead of just dreaming or hoping, end results instead of just planning stages, money in some questions. physicality in others. There's a lot going on there, right?!

If an Ace of Pentacles shows up in a "general" reading, depending on the neighboring cards it could mean anything from your getting that man to your getting that job, plus many other quite different departments of human life. If I waste time going through all the options while you tell me no, you already have a satisfying job, a good man, etc, it's not a clear nor satisfying reading for either of us.

On the other hand, if you ask directly, "Okay, I'm between jobs and so I want to know about job offers or work opportunities," I will then know exactly what that Ace of Pentacles is telling me, and I can forget about a romance angle in this particular moment.

If instead your job situation is fine but you are calling about love, and you ask about the possibility of that certain someone finally getting together with you, this same card can be telling me that yes, it can be a reality and is heading out of the planning stages or the wishing stages, into the real world.

A focused question helps me focus that same card's multiple answers.

During my readings and even in my daily life, I have some pretty good psychic "receptions," knowings, perceptions, symbol information and mental images that guide me, and I've had these all of my life. They assist my card reading and my cards assist my psychic ability, but they are best when put to a focus, and the focus is a defined question.

I'm not a Sylvia Browne type of psychic, who appears to barely need a question spoken before she is flowing with information - "Oh honey, get them to check your thyroid! And Uncle Bob's money is in a paper bag in your sister's closet!". Sadly I'm not that kind of psychic! If I were I guess I'd already have my own show, take readings at hundreds of dollars for a very limited session, be living in Malibu, and would not be taking readings via Keen, lol!

But I work with the gifts I do have, they have helped people, and the help is even more clearly attuned if I know the department file or folder into which I need to be looking, the treasure at the bottom of the lake that I could wade out to or dive directly to. To play "test the psychic" with general questions hoping to see what I "come up with" is not productive and only fools with your own time and money.

If you the caller can zero in on the exact question, I can zero in on the exact answers I'm getting for that specific focus. It means that both you and I cut to the chase, save your minutes, save your time, and save your Keen funds! You are happy to get your real concern answered, and I am happy to do a very precise reading that satisfies me too.

I LOVE to read for a very defined issue, because I can really get my teeth into what's going on in your situation; this kind of reading is incredibly satisfying to me and is why I love what I do.

So, just some information about my own personal method of working, which will save you time and money when you call me for a reading. Can't be a bad thing, right? :-)
