FACING THE BULLY NAMED FEAR

When we fear something, we feel paralyzed and imprisoned by it, often with images of utter terror flashing uncontrollably through our mind.  We fight to put it out of our minds, yet it seems to always come back – it’s like the horror movie with the monster that can never be killed!

Fear is a very powerful vibrational force, and must be neutralized or we indeed manifest exactly what we fear.  As stated in the Bible, “The thing that I have feared has overcome me.”  Speaking of what we fear helps to bring the very thing we fear to us.  Repeatedly picturing it in our mind also helps to physically create exactly what we’re afraid of.

Often, people talk of being broke, loudly proclaiming how they have NO money.  This helps to create even more poverty through the power of the spoken word.  We need to neutralize the fear of poverty, first by no longer voicing any statement of lack and limitation. Then through declaring a positive affirmation we replace this fear of poverty with abundance.  When feeling broke, try saying this:  I am now blessed with financial miracles!”  You might ask, “How can I possibly say that when I’m broke?”  That’s exactly why one needs to say it, to change the energy in the right direction, neutralize the negativity and open the door to great and wonderful prosperity.

We should always be willing to walk up to what we’re afraid of and face it.  If we’re afraid of a person’s personality and how they might react to us or treat us, we should walk right up to them with good cheer and a fearless attitude.  If we need to, we can declare a positive affirmation to assist in creating harmony and peace.  Here is a good affirmation for this type of situation: (The blank spaces within the affirmation are where you insert the person’s name)  ______ is a golden link in the chain of my highest peace and highest good!  There is complete peace, harmony, divine love and understanding between myself and _______.  I have witnessed countless stories from my clients of how a tiger becomes a kitten, meaning that when they faced the person is question the negative situation became harmonious.

Whether we’re afraid of a person, situation, or something else, fear is a bully, and just like in kindergarten, once you confront the bully, the bully cowers and backs down.  In addition, I’ve seen many instances where being willing to face our fears and face the very situation or circumstance we dread, we don’t have to!  I remember an instance where a person was terrified to walk under ladders, and had to walk under a ladder at a bank to get to her safety deposit box.  At first, she ran away, but then decided she needed to face this fear.  She went back to the bank, determined to walk under the ladder, and VIOLA, the ladder was gone!  Being willing to do something sometimes means that you won’t have to do it.

Fear can’t be rationalized.  Trying to mentally deal with fear doesn’t do much of anything to end its stranglehold on us.  Neutralize it through the power of the spoken word.  Face it in day-to-day life.  Sometimes, a fear must be confronted over and over. Standing up to the fear initially takes away some of its power, but then the remainder of the fear eventually comes back to try and establish its territorial dominance over us again.  This struggle can go back and forth for a while till there is a winner!  Through courage, that winner can be you, and not the old derelicts of fear. We become victorious through diligence and consistency, and ultimately rid ourselves completely of the fear!  We must work daily to conquer fear.  Someone once said, “Man is God afraid.”  It is part of our spiritual evolution, and when we are no longer afraid, we have made the journey - we have arrived, and just like the eagle that soars high above the clouds, we are free!

Letting go of fear is a scary proposition especially when it concerns deep emotional hurt. Once bitten, twice shy!! I have to say that the journey back to trusting & loving people fearlessly (having been betrayed & my faith crushed) has many bullies/demons on the way!!! I truly hope to arrive someday (as the fear is unbearably stifling)!!! TY.
