"Plant the seed of meditation and reap the fruit of peace of mind."
~ Remez SassonMany times when we are dealt setbacks in life: a job loss, a divorce/romantic breakup, serious illness, the death of a loved one, and we completely lose faith. This is understandable. My heart goes out to everyone who suffers.
During these critical times, we often to loose our ability to focus, concentrate or do anything constructive. However it is exactly at these critical times that we must tap into our spiritual strength. Remember to read those Sacred Texts, pray, meditate, Yoga and exercise. Watch uplifting movies and read inspiring books. The key distinction here is that you are not trying to make your negative feelings go away: you are leaning on your pillars of spiritual strength. This does not make you weak. It makes you humble. And humility is the seed of wisdom.
Every great Avatar, Prophet and Teacher throughout human history has taught the importance, nay, the preeminence of prayer and meditation and relying on Divinity: from Moses to Jesus, from Mohammad to Krishna, from Bahá'u'lláh to Gandhi. These sages have given us an example. And if they were unashamed to lean on the God of their Heart, you should do so without shame as well.
