7 Amazing TIPS to Squelch the HUMBUG!
Do you have a 'humbug' in your life? Regardless of how upbeat and festive you are, this "humbug" has something derrogatory to comment about everything from the tensil you drape with loving care, to the eggnog being 'weak'....???? Here are a few tips how you can STILL stay upbeat and enjoy your holidays!

1. Count your smiles that counteract his/her "humbugs". Keep a tally sheet on the refrigerator. Follow this with a sip of brandy for every "Smile" mark you make.
2. Bake. Cookies smell so wonderful. Keep baking, and be sure to have the brandy nearby.
3. Wrap ALL the presents. I don't care how small it is, make your home look festive. The more the merrier, I always say. And, again, be sure to have the brandy nearby.
4. Decorate. A little here, a little there - it's amazing what a few suggestions of the holidays can do for your humbug. Hint: Decorating is always accomplished best when you have a little brandy to assist. You may have to go out and get more brandy....
5. Movies. Have a movie marathon complete with everything from "It's a Wonderful Life" to "White Christmas" continually on the DVD player. These are always watched better with a little nip of brandy.
6. Be JOLLY. Wear your Santa hat while doing all your little things around the house - from dusting to mopping floors. And, make sure that you have a little bit of brandy close by- it has a tendency to make all your work shine brighter.
7. Dinner. Go all out and have a nice romantic candlelit dinner. So what if it's a frozen chicken sandwich - make it look beautiful. Oh, and (you guessed it) a little brandy always makes things look more beautiful (including YOU) than it is.
If you have a "humbug" in your life - just say 'NO' to it! No reason at all why you should allow their negative attitude to affect your jolly, joyful "Tis the Season" to be grateful and have fun attitude. And, if all else fails - although, personally I've discovered them to be fail-safe - offer your humbug A LOT of brandy......
