An Angel in Your Pocket.....(Last night God was a Jayhawk)
An angel was in Mario Chalmer's pocket. I am sure. With 2.5 seconds
left in the championship game against Memphis, Mario frantically dashed
down the court and with precision - sunk the ball for a three-pointer,
allowing Kansas to send the game into overtime. The angel in his pocket
was smiling as she flew out with the basketball and swished it through-
nothing but net.
In the overtime - the energy shifted. Kansas had the momentum -
Memphis, which felt that they had already won the championship - had the
defeated, tired energy. They were let down. Disappointed.
It
IS all about the energy, folks. Why do I love sports so much? I love
watching for that precise moment when the energy shifts from one side
to another. I will yell out to others around me "did you feel that?".... and they kinda nod like bobble heads - not really certain what I'm talking about. But you CAN feel the energy shift....And, do you realize that our collective energies do the same?
Understand this - if we all believe what we are told on the nightly
news then we ALL assume the same "doom and gloom" energy. It's an
energy that allows for fear to creep in and consume us... it is much
like the energy in a basketball game where the momentum shifts, and one
team feels invincible while the other team is shrouded in fear.
I hope that my analogy will enlighten you as to how truly powerful your
energy is, that it CAN be contagious, and it CAN and DOES make a
difference. If you get up in the morning proclaiming that "it's a great
day!" guess what? You will have a great day. You WILL keep a smile in
your heart, and have that light beam from you. On the other hand, if
you get up and say "Drats, another day...." that energy also will come
from you. It's that "doom and gloom" that will keep others away from
you, and keep you in a negative space.
Do me a favor - say to yourself that what you hear on the nightly news
is false. It isn't going to affect your world, that in your world
everything is GREAT and that there is "nothing but net". If you believe
this, you can achieve this.
