Breathe deep...and try not to cough

Everyone says that if you have anxiety, just take a deep breath, exhale slowly and force yourself to let go of what it is that is causing you the anxiety. I don't know about you, but if this technique is so affective, I could easily hyperventilate on some days.

So, why is it that sometimes we don't give a hoot about things, and the "whatever" is the attitude we assume; yet others we give such power to the things that should be insignificant but aren't in our worlds?

Good question, Jane (I hear). Why? I figure it this way: Whatever you give power to will cause you to create within yourself the anxiety about having no control over it, and as human beings we want that control.

Isn't it too bad that we don't have our own little set-up where we could push a button and *presto* he'd call, or *bing* we'd get that promotion/raise that would cure our anxious state?

Well, folks, this is where the word TRUST comes in. You/Me/WE all need to learn that when we are feeling out of control, it's because a higher power IS in control. We hate giving that up, so internally there is a struggle.

The highest achievement that you can attain is ALLOWING the flow of your day to occur without questioning, without the pit of your stomach screaming out to you, and without you feeling that you "need to do something".

You DO have a higher power that will take care of it for you. Seriously. Let go of your 'control' center, and allow it to cruise on auto pilot.

Breathe deep. Exhale. Ahhhh. Doesn't that feel better? No? Need a paper bag? :-)

MAKE IT A GREAT DAY!

Sending you angels,

Jane
