Bye, Bye Harley....*sigh*....
Impulse. Those impulses that grab us in the moment of emotion - thus triggering an emotional decision that, later (more often than not) we find a tad regretful. Well, to mark my 50th Birthday last year, I bought a Harley. Not just ANY Harley, I got the Ultra Classic with all the bells & whistles. It was - well - okay, it was impulsive/emotional. I don't even know how to DRIVE a bike. But, I sure loved riding on it. I had a friend that said "I'll drive ya Miss Janie". I had a daisy put on my helmet.
Yesterday, I sold it. What a relief. It was such a reminder of my impuslive/emotional decision. It sat most of the time and collected dust. Spike has his Harley hoodie sweatshirt, and some other Harley stuff. Don't get me wrong, I still like to LOOK at bikes, but my days of riding are done. It was a phase.
We all have phases. Things that grab us and absorb us, then as quickly as we get caught up in it, the shine wears off. We change our minds. It's okay to admit you made an impulsive decision. It's fine to be emotional, and respond likewise. We're human.
Live life with no regrets. Go ahead. Make the emotional decisions, and live with them. I feel like they create the best memories, anyway.
Bye, Harley.

*sigh* I'll miss you....sorta.
