Career Builder - Are You Ready to Use a Wrecking Ball on Yours?
When you least expect it, opportunity knocks. Yes, it’s
true. If you are just going about your business, not focused on that pot that
never seems to boil, suddenly – there it is: boiling away - Opportunities! I
have said this many times, but feel the need to re-state it again: Rejection is
merely RE direction.
If you are struggling daily, having a difficult time at work
with your co-workers because they are slackers and you are doing all the work,
hating your job, dreading even getting up in the morning – don’t you think it’s
time to do something different? Yet, you don’t do anything about it because of the
fear factor, and you start rolling them all out on the red carpet: “I need the
money…it’s all I can do right now… the benefits are good and I can’t afford
these on my own… I have kids and I can’t take the risk…I have to pay the
rent/mortgage… car payments need to be made…” well, as you can see, the list
goes on and on; meanwhile, you’re still miserable doing what you’re doing and
you can’t wait until the day is over!
The difference between a great job, and one that you
tolerate is simple. Instead of looking forward to the day being over,
you look forward to the DAY, period! There are many transitions right now
occurring both on a personal and professional level for everyone. It’s as if
the Universe is clearing out that which doesn’t serve you, so that you are in a
better position to receive that, which DOES serve you.
It’s time to live your potential, recognize your greatness,
and take the risks. IF you lose a job, it’s not rejection – it’s redirection to
one that will have you looking forward to the day STARTING. It is a time when
the Universe is going to test you to your limits on TRUST. Of course it is a
frightening time, if you choose to view it as such. OR, you have the ability to
shift that fear into freedom, because you’ve been presented with an opportunity
to free yourself from the shackles of a job that has been suffocating your
spirit to pursue a position that will fill your heart.
