Fear of ....Rejection or Opinion??? Chili or Chill?
As small towns go, the Fishbowl that I live in is - well, really small... as in don't blink, you'll miss it. Today is a big day for us fish swimming around. It's the first annual Chili Cook-off. Now, I know many of you may be wondering why, with my magical culinary wizardy, I didn't enter my own concoction...you
are wondering, aren't you?
Ok, so I admit it - I allowed my fear (not to mention my ego) get in the way of at least trying. Bad, Jane - very very bad. At least I admit it. Heck, I'll go one step further than admit it, I'll write about it. Because I know when the winner is announced, and the recipe won't be nearly as wonderful and delicious as mine - I will hold regret. What I won't hold is the trophy (A red plastic bowl), or the recognition that comes along with it (and a $10.00 coupon for a submarine sandwich from the Deli).
In a perfect world, we wouldn't allow either fear or ego to stand in the way of what we want, right? In this utopia, we would boldly go where we have never gone before and explore the vast unknown because it's what we desire.
And, although I'm a strong proponent of going after what
you may want and desire, I do understand that it's a whole lot easier said than done. I sincerely hope that YOU will have the courage to go forth - without fear, and ego projections - and do what YOU want. Why? Because I feel that "regret" is the worst thing in the world to hold.....

I'm available for your calls until 2:30pm ET today,
when I have to attend the Chili Cookoff, and discover that MY recipe WOULD have won,
if I only had the courage..........
Sending you angels,
Jane
