Feeling down? Get down & dirty in your garden!
I feel that gardening is the best therapy that we can enjoy, and I love gardening. It's all about the ambiance. The pictures I've posted here are of the garden that I created with my significant other. We converted his dog run into a wonderous, peaceful & happy space. The dog pen serves as a terrific way to keep the mountain animals away from the veggies... this would include deer, elk and javalina.
To ME, gardens should not only be functional, but have the appropriate amount of "zen" in them, too. This means color and lots of green. Herbs are essential, and are great companions in gardens. When planted strategically alongside veggies, they actually help the growth and production of your veggies.I also hang wind chimes to keep birds out. It's a wonderful place to empty your mind of your troubles, and get "grounded".
