Friend or FOE??? Oh, WOE!

Sabotage is disguised in many ways. Hunh? True story. Your best friend could be miserable in HER/HIS relationship, and will subtly throw in little things that SHOULD bug you about your relationship....to the point where you discover that maybe you SHOULD be concerned, then there they ARE - the little things you once thought nothing about suddenly bugging you...

This is when hell breaks loose.

Why would a person that calls himself/herself a 'friend' NOT want to see you happy? Well the obvious reason is because we ALL know that 'Misery loves company". He/She will continually project his negative energy onto you until it's so heavy that you need to release it, and release it you do - of course you tirade at your partner that is truly an innocent by-stander in this little drama....blindsiding him - he doesn't know what's been going on!

IF you have a friend (or someone posing as a friend) that is suggesting that you SHOULD be upset by things in your relationship that have never bothered you before, take it with a grain of salt (or the whole box). If you are perfectly happy with your relationship, please - do yourself a favor - and don't allow anyone to burst your joy. NO relationship is "perfect" and there will always be minor annoyances in each. However, if your friend is making those minor annoyances evolve into insurmountable mountains - ditch the friend before ditching your relationship. Take some time to think it over real hard. WHO is it that you are more comfortable with? Go on, make the choice..... Choose LOVE.

Available for your calls today! Happy MARCH! This is a GREAT month to dig in and dump all the stuff that doesn't serve your higher good, so think about what needs to go to The Good Will Shop! (The more you give, the more you get!!!)

Sending you angels,

Jane

# re: Friend or FOE??? Oh, WOE!

This exact thing happened to me the first year of my ten year marriage to my husband.  The second year I had to walk away from my friend because of all the negativity and problems it was causing and I found it difficult to choose which relationship I wanted more.  I Immaturely just stopped all contact with my girlfriend.  9 months after not talking I finally called her and let our sons have a sleepover.  I was so excited to see her that day when I picked my son up after his visit, that I decided to call her to get together for a visit, but to my shock and heartbreak she died in a house fire the very next day.  For the next five years of my marriage I resented my husband and it continued to cause marriatle problems.  Talk about a life lesson, but Im still so glad I chose love

Linda, I honestly feel that sacrificing a friendship is a difficult decision, however; if that friendship does interfere with your love relationship, something's gotta give...I, too, agree w/ you and I would choose love.

, I get back to my main point, this is an excellent post & not seotmhing I've personally thought much about. I certainly can see the dilemmas that arise. I also agree with the advice of you therapist regarding the kids meeting your other partners & yet I can see your point of view about wanting to let them meet -at least originally. All-in-all a very informative post & wanted to say I enjoyed reading it as well as to say  Good Luck' moving forward & as they grow older. Sincerely,Bryan
