It's NOT the Packers! It's TROUBLE!
This is a difficult post for me. I caught Spike yesterday literally ripping through a National Inquirer - dreamingly gazing at a Maltese. Oh, sure, you all know the Maltese that I'm referring to - the one worth TWELVE million dollars! Holy Major Money Bag, Batman! As I was observing his daydreaming, I saw him glance at the drawer where I keep my will. Sorry, Spike - there isn't anywhere close to 12mil in that!
So I concluded the source of his depression wasn't the fact that the Green Bay Packers are in a rebuild year(s), but it was longing, and yearning over a sassy little bitch named Trouble. How in the world can I break it to him that she is WAY out of his league? His lifestyle would never work with hers. He's a mountain dog. He drags rocks and bugs into the house. He trees squirrels and barks ferociously at raccoons, wild pigs and elk. He has a Harley Davidson hoodie, and a doo rag! Trouble has only seen pictures or heard horror stories of these types of 'bad boys'.
Poor Spike. But, alas, I am sure that at one time or another we're all guilty of setting our sites on someone that is just out of our realm. Yet, at least we understand crushes, and know the difference between a crush and something that may pan out as a real relationship. (Hey , I love Brad Pitt- but the chances of him leaving Angie for ME are slim and none).
Well, meanwhile, Spike will have to just settle for Carley. Afterall, a Yorkie is a manmade breed, that is made up of the Maltese and Broken Scotch Terrier...so 1/2 of a Maltese that is worth maybe 12.00 will have to suffice for him. Life is hard, Spike, but real is real.

*sigh* such a pathetic look on him - and how do you think she feels????
