Lions and Tigers and Bears, OH MY!

It was a dark and stormy night in Kansas…. thunder clapped as loud as a drum section in a marching band. Lightening bolts struck, luminating the sky with the brightness of day. The seven-year old lay in her bed, paralyzed with fear and terror, knowing at any moment a house could fall from the sky, or a twister take her away. She did what she could do, and begin to recite the Lord’s prayer with a determination even she didn’t know that she had.

Then an eerie silence emerged through the terror, and in this silence was the anticipation that something was happening around her, but what? She dared not breathe. And an amazing sight came to her…. Three ethereal beings ascended from the ceiling of her bedroom drifting slowly. Two were pure white light, with a female energy around them, each holding one candle and on either side of the one in the middle. The one in the middle was huge, enormous – in red, and holding a book open.

She watched in awe as these beings presented themselves to her, and then did what any seven year old would do – ducked under the covers in shear fear. After what seemed like hours, she managed to peak out from underneath them, and realized that they were gone, taking with them the storm and leaving behind a reverent peace.

She was told to “never speak of this again” by the Episcopal priest she went to see. Also noting that the date on the church calendar was in red, signifying St. Barnabas day. So, she researched St. Barnabas in the Bible and read a bit about how he came to those that are in need. Hmmmm.

Several years’ later, other episodes of similar nature, along with inexplicable “visions” happened, so she dug in and proceeded to research WHO the visitors were that visited her that night so very long ago.   Through this quest, she discovered that it was Archangel Uriel that came to her that night.

Archangel Uriel is the Regent of the Sun, and is the most radiant of the Archangels. He is depicted with a flame in his open hand. He rules over thunder and terror. Uriel is seen with a book at his feet signifying the book he gave to Adam with all the medicinal herbs in it. He is the last of the Archangels.

Uriel’s gifts for you are to help you acknowledge the Light within all people, find knowledge to help and to heal, and to interpret and decode your inner voice. He blesses you with your psychic abilities.

His name alone, Uriel, means “Light of God”, and he is the angel that brings humankind knowledge and understanding of the Divine. He has been called “The Flame of God”, “Angel of the Presence” and “Angel of Salvation”. He is also known as the “Prince of Light” and “Interpreter of Prophecies”.

Uriel also helps you to understand the laws of karma, how divine mercy works, and brings to you awareness that you are cherished by God’s love.

He is supposed to be the most sharp-sighted of all the angels. He helps you to understand why things are as they are; helps you to trust in the divine plan so that when things “appear” to be going wrong, you know that ultimately they are for your highest good and greatest joy. He helps you to find your inner light.

Oh, and, that terrified seven-year old in Kansas.... it was I.

I can only imagine how overwhelming that must have been to have such a strong experience at such a tender age. Well done.

The vivid detail comes to me like it was yesterday...I'm now in my 50th year. Profound, indeed.
