Live Each Day to its Fullest. Please?
Too many couples fight over the smallest and most unworthy topics to pick on each other about. Seriously, so what if his socks are left on the floor? When you are at his house, you might just naturally clean up a bit - but does it matter to you that he doesn't do the same when he's at your house? Ok, maybe it does and you choose to make a comment (which he'll take as criticism). Did you notice that he put air in your tires, or addded oil to your car? Or, are you so self-focused on what YOU do for Him? (or what you do for her)?
In today's world, there's so much that is going on, why sweat the small stuff? (Yes, I know there was a book by that title, but it seems so appropriate for this blog to borrow that line). If you get right down to it, it's ALL small.
How do you overlook these "sins" and keep the love alive in your relationship? It's so easy it's elementary! It's YOUR attitude that determines the energy of the day. What IF you were aware that TODAY was the LAST day you'd have with your partner/significant other/boyfriend/girlfriend?
Many times I hear, "I just didn't realize that would be our last kiss". What IF you thought it would be your last hug, kiss, smile, giggle together?
Here it is in a nutshell: If you wake up each morning, THINKING: this could be MY last day on Earth, don't you believe that you'd treat yourself AND your significant other differently? Wouldn't you TRY to overlook those "small" annoying things and let them slide? Wouldn't you be a whole lot more loving toward him/her?
Truth is, we don't KNOW if this is "it" or not - and it could very well be the last day you have. Be grateful for it, and live it graciously- with compassion. BE in the moment with your loved one, and you'll be shocked by how loving, considerate and gracious he/she will be toward you!
Go live every day as if it is your last! Your attitude is YOUR choice!
Sending you angels,
Jane
