I had some revelations this morning as I was pouring a cup of
coffee. They're nothing Earth shattering or anything, but never-the-less (as far
as revelations go) not bad, just something to ponder. I'm a numerology buff, and
love to look at things from a numerical perspective. I have lots of time to do
this. So, here are my revelations:
Ending and beginning both end in ING. Ending has
6 letters, beginning has 9. 6+9=15, 1+5=6.Six being the number of
harmony and balance. It's a balance that teeters as we end something and begin a
new.
Finish has 6 letters, Start has 5. If you add them
together you get 11. (6+5=11) Eleven being a master number. Do you suppose this
means that you should finish what you start? Eleven represents spiritual
insights and revelations.
It's Over and Dead End both have 7 letters. The number
seven is associated with philosophy, and inner contemplation. Hmm. let me
contemplate here....When something is over, it's finished. Time to move on and
start something new.
New has 3 letters. The number Three is associated with Spring, and
NEW BEGINNINGS, new ventures, and phases of growth... How cool is that???
Just as it is always painful to say goodbye, it is joyful to say hello.
Goodbye has 7 letters (Remember, Seven is associated with inner
contemplation and philosophy). Hello has 5 letters; The Number Five is
connected with FREEDOM and movement, energy, creativity and travel.
Personally, when I hear "it's over", it punches me in the stomach so hard
that I lose my breath. I double-over with this indescribable pain. It's sooo
final. (incidently, Final also has 5 letters - see above) The pain of
what I think I lost is incredible. Truth is, if I am honest with myself
- what I gain is so much greater. I gain the opportunity for growth, new
beginnings and new adventures.
Incidently, gain has 4 letters. The Number Four is represented by
the four points of the compass and the four seasons. Four is associated with
foundations, sense of structure. Love also has four letters.
And, now it's time to go refill my coffee and see if any other revelations
come to me.
