Relationships: God's own Sitcom
I have to give credit to God. In a Universe that has so much going on around it, I'm positive that man and woman were created specifically for His own amusement. I have this vision of The Almighty One, sitting in a huge circular office with millions of monitors positioned so that at any time he can tune in to a particular relationship and get a good laugh.
"Let's see what's going on with the Jane & Jack show today." He says as he gets his first cup of coffee. *click* goes the remote control, and zooooooom - there's Jane. "Yep" God says, "I see she is still allowing frustration get in the way, but I admire the ways that Jack is forcing it onto her! Quite the manipulator! " Then, a slight chuckle, "That Jack...now that's one of my finer creations....hmmm, I should have replicated him more than 10,000 times....this whole episode is pretty fun".
*click* "Wow - the Bob and Betty show has certainly kicked up a notch since the arrival of little Damien....It will get really good when Bob finds out that Damien isn't his biological son..." *click*....
"So Hillary wants to be President. This will be interesting to watch. I should tell Gabrielle to stop spending so much time with Barrak Obama. Hillary can use some help with her communication skills"....*click*....
"The Laura show looks a little sad today. She needs to pick up her paintbrush and start painting her world, darn she's talented...." Then The Almighty One makes a note to send The Angel of Creativity to Laura. *click*.....
"Ooooooo! That Charles is certainly giving Cheryl a run for her money! Talk about exciting... I like this fiasco...especially since I introduced that Playboy Playmate" *click*....."Hugh. The Heffster" (insert a heavy sigh and huge smile) The guy sure has fun and enjoys life! Amen, Hugh - just as I envisioned it for you! ..... *click*
And, just as He is about to tune to another channel, He is interrupted by Archangel Michael.... "Sir? Excuse me, but we have a serious situation...."
Reluctantly, He turns away from the millions of monitors that record His daily sitcoms - the love relationships of the world - and tends to business.
I leave you with this thought: when it is difficult at times to understand the "why's" of your relationship, view it as a sitcom - with a sense of humor. At least you'll stay tuned for more.
I am available for your calls today. Happy Friday!
Sending you angels, Jane
