S'NOw not nICE to Challenge Mother Nature!

I pause relationship blogging to share these photos taken of our recent Arizona snow storm. Higher elevations got even more than this. As a measurement tool - we took a bottle of beer (used for entertainment purposes only) and set it out on the patio table. The first photo is taken yesterday at 11:32am, the second one was taken today at 8:32am. It's still coming down!

As I mentioned on my blog yesterday in response to a friend's facebook post "Waiting on the "supposed snow" .... THIS is what happens when you challenge Mother Nature!   The first one is titled: "See the Beer Bottle?" (it's a vintage draft)....

WHERE did it GO? (Oh, under the SNOW!)

It's a bit chilly here today, and at this posting time it's 24 degrees in the mountains of Arizona. I will be available for your calls, and on alerts when our rudimentary phone system crumbles under the pressure of all the snow that knocks my modem out. When this happens, please understand that I can't respond to emails....

I am, however, building snow angels in the front of our house today - stay tuned for photos tomorrow!

Sending YOU angels!

Jane

The last time I was surrounded by this much "white" was on my wedding day in 1980 - I was wearing my wedding dress. I've NEVER been around THIS much snow, Cyndie!!! AKKK! Cabin Fever!

My kids would love it.  Back here in DC we only get one or two inches, but the schools close anyway.  With the snow you have, the kids would be off for a week!!!  Enjoy it!

I must admit, Nodrama, that it does bring out the child within! I have a perfect place picked out to build my snow angels family - just searching for the right attire for them! :-)

Hey, Nova, am NE of The Valley, in Pine/Strawberry. Flagstaff got majorly hammered, and both I-40 and I-17 were closed this morning. It is starting to melt already, but there's another snow storm coming in this evening. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Pine sounds familiar?  I used to live in Payson when I was a teenager.  Did they used to ship kids to Payson schools from Pine?

I just looked at it on the map -- I believe they did ship them from there :)  Not that far away!
