SOUL FOOD: SPORTS

Forget what your mom told you about the 'best way to a man's heart is through his stomach'....you have to know the right soul food, and that's SPORTS.

I don't care if it's the World Serious, NBA Finally's, Stupid Bowl, or The NCAA March of Madness- the true universal connection, and way to a man's heart, is through Sports. During these specific times of year which evolve around sporting events, you can go anywhere and feel the excitement of baseball, basketball, and football in the air! Poll-watchers eagerly check daily to see where their team is. (HEY, The University of Kansas is actually RANKED this year....woops, hope I didn't hex that one).

The Red Sox and Rockies are battling it out right now for the cherished title of World champs. Poor young team from Colorado vs. Expensive, Experienced and Egos from Boston.

Pre-season for NBA is well underway. (Go Suns!)

The BCS is anxiously waiting to see which college football team will go to which of the thousands of bowl games. (Have you noticed that EVERYONE has a bowl now? Wouldn't it be great if Keen had a bowl? Imagine the name: The Keen.com Psychic Bowl - WE predict who will win).

My personal observations: You can knock yourself out and make lobster, filet mingon, scalloped potatoes, put on soothing mood music complete with candles....OR get a bottle of Bud and a pizza from your local pizza delivery place. The latter option goes a MUCH longer way on a Saturday or Sunday...furthermore, it saves you time AND money!

Make it a GREAT Friday!

Sending you angels,

Jane

Tell me about it.  My guy is a Red Sox (he's in heaven at this point) and Giants fan.  We spend our "social time" in sports bars watching no less than 10 different screens at a time.  But I wouldn't have it any other way.  He's happy, and that makes me happy.  And there are many times he goes with me to stores in search of that perfect accessory! :-)
