School of Angels: Archangel Michael

For those that would like to know more about angels, and their functions in our lives, I've decided to devote part of my blog completely to angels. Thus, The School of Angels is now open for enrollment. Hopefully, you will gain insight and knowledge about the angelic realm, the 'assignments' God has given to the angels, and how you can have them work in your daily life. There are many different theories on angels to subscribe to; just know that this is "Angel 101 According to Jane". It's not absolute - it's my truth as I've been shown and choose to believe. As a bonus, if you email me upon completion of the course, I will send you a certificate. :-)

I'm starting school with the realm known as The Heaven of Form, this is the first of three levels. The angels in this realm, the Archangels, the Guardians, and the Angel Princes, are the closest to mankind. Their purpose is to help us realize that the Divine is in everyone and everything around us. They provide the spirit of love and protection.

The Archangels are messengers from the Divine to mankind. They are, in effect, protectors of humankind, and each have specific functions.

To invoke the assistance of your Archangels, you may recite the following ancient Jewish prayer:

To God Almighty,

The Lord of Israel,

May Michael be at my right hand,

Gabriel at my left hand,

Before me Raphael

And behind me Uriel,

And above me the Divine Presence of God.

(Or, you may do what I do, and that is just say, “God, help, please??????”)

Archangel Michael

We'll begin our discovery of the Archangels by starting with the super hero of the Archangels, Archangel Michael. His heavenly function is the Commander-in-Chief of the Heavenly Armies.  Michael stands for Truth, Justice, and Integrity. He is depicted in drawings holding a scale of justice in one hand and a large Excalibur in the other.  Because he is the warrior of God's Army, (and led the "good" angels to battle against Lucifer and the "fallen angels") he assists you here on Earth as you combat your human battles.

Michael is also the patron saint of policemen, soldiers and small children; he gives guidance to all who find themselves in dire straits, and he is known to be the bearer of patience and happiness.

He is associated with the element of fire, which symbolizes the burning away of what is transient so that only the pure and essential light may shine forth.

Archangel Michael is known by many names. Among these names are: The Angel of Death, The Angel of Final Reckoning, The Weigher of Souls, Holder of the Keys of Heaven, Chief of the Archangels, Prince of the Presence, Angel of the Repentance, Angelic Prince of Israel, Guardian of Jacob, and Angel of the Burning Bush.

Most of all, Michael is always lending a hand to help alleviate strife and trouble. He will help you to stand strong in the face of adversity, resolve your personal negativities, and help you to find strength when you are alone or feeling like an outsider. Whenever you feel any of these things, Michael will gallantly stand beside you, helping you to create ways to cope. What a comforting thought, don’t you agree?

Next Lesson: Archangel Metatron; the only angel in the entire angelic realm to have had a human experience.

I love this prayer Jane. And I've actually been looking for some ways to effectively speak to the strengths of each archangel. YAY!
