Strawberry Fields Forever
'Let me take you down, cuz I'm going tooooooooooo Strawberry Fields.....' In thinking about this today, as I was scrutinizing what it could be that is munching on my strawberries at night, it occurred to me that this particular line from the popular Beetles song is really about energy suckers.
You know the type - when you're happy, they want to drag all their negative glops and goop up your happiness. Or, worse yet, they drone on and on about what a drag their life (or lack of) is just to dump on you and then they feel better. We've all encountered friends like this. The eternal victim. Once they unload, their arteries are instantly cleared of their emotional cholestrol. How kind of them.
You can avoid being drug into this by purging out these "friends" in your life and focus on finding new, upbeat and essentially happy people to surround yourself with.
Meanwhile, I suspect the squirrels are enjoying my carefully guarded strawberries when Spike has his back turned. It is so hard to find good help these days.....
