What are ORBS???

What are orbs? I have been researching these lately after I studied this picture that I took. At first glance, I thought (with my very left brain) there was something in the flash that made them appear this way. However, I took other pictures of the same area the same day - and nothing was there. It was 'orb-less' (ok, I made that word up).....





So, I asked around. What are these orbs? And, why are they perfect circular "beings"?

I was told that they are spirits or ghosts. Hmmm. Interesting theory. Someone else wrote that they are aliens and this is how they collect information about human beings.  Well, that didn't resonate with me. I couldn't grasp this concept at all. (My limited mind, I suppose; but I thought if they are aliens why would they just float around?)

My conclusion is that the orbs that are in this photo are kind spirits that follow me around and laugh from day to day at the Jane Show. What do you think? I'm interested in discovering more about them.

I got this from Wikipedia.  Personally I like to think they were faries, but that's the old romantic in me.

Due to the size limitations of the modern compact and ultra-compact cameras, especially digital cameras, the distance between the lens and the built-in flash has decreased, thereby decreasing the angle of light reflection to the lens and increasing the liklihood of light reflection off normally sub-visible particles. Hence, the orb artifact is commonplace with small digital or film camera photographs.

The orb artifact can result from reflection of light off solid particles (e.g., dust, pollen), liquid particles (water droplets - especially rain) or other foreign material within the camera lens.

The image artifacts usually appear as either white or semi-transparent circles, though may also occur with whole or partial color spectrums, purple fringing or other chromatic aberration. With rain droplets, an image may capture light passing through the droplet creating a small rainbow effect.

Underwater photographers notice the effect also, which occurs for the same reason as above-water photographic artifacts. Sand, small sea life or other particles close to the lens, invisible to the diver, reflect light from the flash causing the orb artifact in the image. A strobe flash, which distances the flash from the lens, eliminates the artifacts.

Oh, Trinity - I like your "romantic" version much better - call it the dreamer in ME :-). Another photo I took immediately after this one from the same angle didn't have anything it it. Hmmm. Well, I am afraid that "science" will always find some dull theory to support what cannot be explained. Thank you for your response.

Dear Jane:

I have been told by my guides and by others on the other side that the easiest way for them interact with us is by electrical means. Orbs are like electric light bulbs and they are spiritual entities.  They are as curious about how we are doing here on earth as we are about them.  Very enlightened people seem to have many orbs around them.  They can be viewed sometimes by regular eyesight but mostly the digital camera has opened our eyes at how many are around us.

AT MY SONS WEDDING AN ORB SHOW ON HIM AT THE CHRUCH LATER THAT NITE AT THE TIME OF OUR MOTHER AND SON DANCE I HAD 2 ON ME MY SHOULDER AND KNEE OUT OF ALL THE PICTURES THEY WERE THE ONLY 2 I DO FEEL BLESSED AND KNOW THAT LOVED ONES WERE AROUND US. COULD YOU EXPLAIN THEM

I sugguest you go on a quest to find out who William Reich is ...do some research on orgone. Dont believe me ...do the research. Its quite fun.

Hello Jane, Rosie is partly right. Too many know it alls (not rosie) are missing the "orb" reality. They are human spirit beings. When a person good or evil dies they normally do go to the light as we have heard so much about. Unfortunately Most of them do not have permission from the Great Spirit to "stay back" and the closer they stay down here with us the harder it is for them to be good. Some do have permission and they then have the Great Spirits protection. Since they are now spirits they have the ability to give you good or bad thoughts. Also if they are strong enough they can give you or show up in dreams. They can also get into animals and have them do their bidding. If you see one with your eyes you can roughly guess their demeanor as they are the same color as their aura was when they were human beings. The digital photo flash washes out the color. The sphere shape comes natural. They can break out of it but it takes allot of their energy. This is what we will all look like when we pass on. like a drop of water does without a container. I won't do it but if you really wanted to prove this out you could simply get a night vision camera and take moving pictures of them. I don't think this has been done but if they like you they will respond to you with their movements and could even answer questions in this manner. Only problem is you might get a lying spirit. If you heart and mind were able to work together you would be able to hear them yourself. Ok How do I know all of this? they tell me!  Peace
