The six of cups expresses a longing for the past. Here the card is inverted so the meaning takes on a unique twist. You are hung up in the past and need to let go. A new beginning is now possible but cannot happen until you see the past for what it truly was. When you look back you are not seeing things the way they really where. Take off the rose colored glasses and see clearly. You are holding on to a false reality. Things where not as you remember them. Today is a new day. You have been given a chance to start over and live a new life but you must let go of the old. Live life for today not for yesterday.
