We've all heard the saying, "What goes around, comes around."  But so often what goes around -- just seems to keep going around.  I mean, honestly, where the heck did it go?

All my life, I've run around stomping my foot and screaming, "It's not fair!"  As a child, I heard repeatedly, "Life isn't fair."  Past few years, every time I say "It's not fair," someone near and dear to me pipes in with, "No, it's a carnival."

But frankly, I have to say, karma has got to be one of the most interesting concepts I have ever encountered. Now if I could just get it to work in my timing, the Universe and I would be bosom buddies.

The biggest problem I see with karma and the "What goes around, comes around" concept is sitting around waiting for the "come around" part.  We want revenge and we want it NOW and we wanna watch!  Come on, you know it's true.

But karma, being a Universal law, well, the how's and the why's are simply not up to us.  So, for instance, we skip through life being good and giving, and then some wretched soul comes along, stomps on us and leaves us in the gutter to rot with yesterday's garbage.  We're left pointing at them and yelling, "Excuse me, Universal Law, clean up on Aisle 5 -- NOW!" while they seem to be off having a good time.  Just doesn't seem fair now, does it?

Since I don't tend to be one to kick someone when they're lying in the gutter, for now we'll forget your lesson part of this and just continue on to the R-E-V-E-N-G-E part.  Problem is, there doesn't seem to be any.

Where's the fun in that? Read on. Let's cover a couple examples.

One, now infamous, client of mine (you know who you are, my little shining star) was waiting for the karma fairy to throw a large pile of remorse on her erstwhile lothario's head.  She put in numerous requests to the fairy and was getting extremely impatient and agitated.  Now while she's waiting and waiting and looking in the other direction, it seems the poooooor long-suffering girl met a REALLY good guy, who likes her -- a lot -- and respects her and is putting his all into the relationship.  Don't you just feel so bad for her?  LOL.  I don't.  Meanwhile, erstwhile lothario will never have a healthy relationship because the only relationship he puts any work into is the one with himself.  Wow, karma.

Or take another example.  There was a girl I knew that made fun of people with a weight problem all the time.  She'd point, she'd laugh, she'd humiliate.  To her, it was a fate worse than death.  Not very nice and not very charitable now, is it?  Ahhh, but you know what happened?  You guessed it, karma.  She was last seen at Weight Watchers.

The lesson here is have faith, have trust.  Karma works.  What goes around does truly come around.  We just might not be around to see it, or if we are, frequently we've moved on to bigger and better things and simply don't care.
