May...the month of Taurus.  Our New Moon on the 5th (Monday) at 8:18AM EDT  is at 15 degrees of Taurus.  Taurus is the second sign of the zodiac: the natural ruler of the second house of money and possessions.  In general, there will be more focus on money, possessions, sensuality, and material affairs. Venus is at home in the sign of Taurus, considered among the most sensual of  signs and happy with only the finest and the best of luxuries. Expect that energy relating to matters of the heart to slow down to a more relaxed pace, and be prepared to focus more in getting in touch with yourself and what your inner and outer needs are.  It is a time for the simple pleasures: food, activities putting us in touch with outdoors and discovering what makes us happy and fulfilled. A new moon usually represents a time of new beginnings on a personal level.  While this moon is overall positive, it creates a square to Neptune, and some of the new beginnings indicated may be the result of having to face the reality of  certain situations  that do not represent what we need or want. Those most affected by this new moon will be born under the sun sign of Taurus, Scorpio, Aquarius, and Leo, or those with planets in those signs around 13-18 degrees.

 

On May 3rd Saturn goes direct at 1 degree in Virgo, after being retrograde since December 19, 2007. During this period it is stationary direct, and  until  May 23, 2008 the effects of Saturn will be more marked. Saturn going direct in a certain house means the affairs of that house are becoming defined, one way or the other.  For Aires, this means work and health. Taurus-creativity, children, friends and entertainment,  and most importantly, love affairs. Gemini- The home, parents, family members, the structural building you call home, and the foundation: matters of extreme importance as job, family, matters of the heart. Cancer-the mind, day to day activity and the mental process, communication, immediate family members, neighbors, learning. Leo-Money matters, possessions,  self-esteem. Virgo-Saturn is the most difficult for those whose sun sign is Virgo.  Saturn can be a time of losses and endings, starting over, slowdown and frustration in general.
