President Obama suffers his first defeats today as several of his cabinet member nominee's resign over tax issues, and the stimulus package is scaled back by Congress.  These events are being brought to the forefront as we are in the final days proceeding a lunar eclipse at 20 degrees of Leo, which occurs Monday, February 9th.
 
If you read my previous post you understand that since the eclipse in Leo opposes Neptune, the planet of illusion, delusion, and deception it is not a surprise that the misdeeds of Obama's nominee's are being brought out into the open. President Obama can not afford to be compromised by the scandals of any of his cabinet members. I expect more revelations to occur and be brought out into the open over the weekend.
 
Every President has his (or her) cross to bear, and unfortunately, I believe that the resignations of President Obama's cabinet picks will not be the last when it comes to partner's or potential partner's who will fail him. President Obama's Uranus is at 25 degrees of Leo in his 7th house of partner's and the eclipse in Leo falls within 5 degrees of it.  So, he may as well expect the unexpected from partner's as we enter the weekend.  President Obama's partner's would certainly include Congress, his cabinet picks, other people close to him, and of course, his wife, Michelle. It would also include foreign allies. So, he is in for some interesting days, and in fact interesting  years ahead. 
 
The eclipse of February 9th sets off the major transit of Neptune opposing Uranus in the US President's 7th house of partner's that will continue into 2011. He is subject to treachery, deception, lies,scandal and a lack of clarity relating to his partner's during this time, and his wife Michelle may have a difficult time adjusting to the new life she and their family have embarked on. Of course, most people would have a difficult time adjusting to being the most high profile wife/partner on the planet.
 
Hopefully, the President will choose wisely and in the coming months not be drawn into the scandal that many would no doubt seek to create. Neptune opposing Uranus also create's a certain amount of confusion for the time, and bring's about large scale economic, political, cultural upheavals that are beyond the individual's control.  It represents deception from friends and organizations, as well as secret opposition.  The President's nickname 'no drama Obama' will hopefully reflect his true nature as he enters this unstable period.
 
On a positive note, CNN is reporting that there is an attempt to reach a 4 percent interest rate nationwide, on home purchasing and refinancing.  Refer to the last post of Jupiter in Aquarius if you are further interested in this event being brought into the open. American's can look for potentially cheaper mortgages this year---if you have the credit score and meet the criteria .I do not believe lending patterns will not go back to the premise that anyone can qualify, as occurred over the past few years creating a mountain of foreclosures.. The best position to be in for the new year is to be free of credit card debt, or revolving credit payments, and I advise everyone to dump/pay off this debt as soon as possible.
 
The eclipse will most effect those persons of the Uranus-Pluto in Leo timeframe.  That is, you will most be effected by the eclipse if you were born during the years of 1950-parts of 1957, or Uranus in Leo, 1958 through early 1962. In other words, most of the baby boomers. The eclipse conjunct Pluto brings about transformation, and situations that require transformation, as well as subconscious issues coming to light.  At their worst they can result in a sort of emotional meltdown, and facts that have been hidden cam come into  the light. The eclipse on Uranus results in a period of unexpected events, often of a trying nature that are not planned for.  Collectively, if you are of this era you will be dealing with issues of time: the economy and uncertainty and surrounded by unexpected events and situations. This eclipse is setting off the Neptune opposition to Pluto/and or Uranus of this generation, just as it is in the chart of President Obama. The transit will occur in the charts of all persons born of these timeframes and will present itself as a challenge in some area, one way or another. It is a test of the social revolution that occurred in the 60's when people born of those generations were coming of age, and it is the baby boomers who will suffer the loudest and perhaps justly so if our leaders do not come up with viable solutions to fix the problems we face today. An eclipse aspecting Uranus calls for total revolution, and the overthrowing of a situation, and an eclipse to Pluto calls for basic transformation in some way.  We have been a nation of survivors  for several centuries now, in the USA, and the Pluto-Leo-Uranus eclipse will bring change and transformation of the old ways.  The road to change is seldom an easy one, but Pluto in Capricorn over the next 15 years will cause us to make major transformations in our values, and way of doing things..Change with Pluto is not always bad, and the result will be a new world for us all.
